Rather than following the same routine each time, I listen and adapt the massage to you.The experience is designed to help you slow down, soften physical and mental tension, find some quiet inside, and feel more connected with your body.

What can I expect during my first massage with Nico?

We begin with a short conversation over a cup of tea or water. This gives us time to meet, talk about how you are feeling, and understand what you would like from the massage.You can tell me about areas of tension, your preferred pressure, relevant health information, and anything you would like me to include or avoid.I then leave the room so you can undress in privacy, settle onto the warm, oiled massage table, and cover yourself with a towel.The massage usually begins with the back of the body before moving to the front. You remain covered throughout the session, with only the area being massaged uncovered.Afterwards, I leave the room again so you can rest for a moment and get dressed without rushing. If you feel like sharing something about your experience, there is space for that. If you prefer not to, that is equally welcome.

Do I need to arrive relaxed?

Not at all. You can arrive exactly as you are.Perhaps your mind is still at work, your body feels tense, or it has simply been a long day. You do not need to leave any of that at the door or try to get yourself into the “right” state.Settling takes time. The massage meets you where you are and allows relaxation to come at its own pace.

How is your massage different from a conventional wellness massage?

For me, massage is not simply a sequence of techniques or a list of muscles to work through. I pay attention to the whole experience: how you are feeling, how your body responds, the rhythm and pressure of my touch, your breathing, and the time you may need to settle.Rather than following the same routine each time, I adapt the massage as it unfolds. Warm oil and long, flowing movements connect different areas of the body, creating a continuous full-body experience instead of treating each part separately.Warmth is an important part of this experience. The massage table is heated, while infrared heaters from the ceiling provide gentle warmth from above. This surrounds the body with a comfortable, even temperature and makes it easier to settle, especially when one area is uncovered for massage.Music also plays an important role. I carefully create playlists that bring together music from different genres, moods, and cultures. Rather than using the usual background sounds associated with massage, the music follows the changing rhythm of the session and accompanies you on a journey through moments of stillness, movement, depth, and release.The longer sessions allow all of this to unfold without rushing. The massage can become more than a quick pause: it offers a meaningful break from everything you normally have to think about, organise, or hold together.

Is the massage suitable if I have never had one before?

Absolutely. You do not need any previous experience with massage or bodywork.We talk through everything before we begin, and you are welcome to ask as many questions as you need. Nothing is expected from you, and nothing happens before you understand it and feel comfortable.If you would prefer a shorter first experience, the 60-minute Discovery Massage is a gentle introduction to my work. For a more complete full-body experience, I usually recommend 90 minutes.

What is included in a full-body massage?

The massage takes place on a warm, oiled table and uses flowing movements that connect different areas of the body.A full-body massage can include the back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands, legs, feet, hips, abdomen, head, and face.You remain covered with a towel, and only the area being massaged is uncovered. The genital area stays covered throughout the entire session. The genital and breast areas are never massaged.What is included is always adapted to your preferences. Any area, including the abdomen, hips, gluteal area, face, or feet, can be left out.For me, “full body” means caring for the body as a whole. It never means that every area must be touched.

Can I ask for more or less pressure?

Yes, please tell me how the touch feels. You are always welcome to ask for a gentler touch or an adjustment.My touch is gentle, grounded and unhurried. This is not deep-tissue or sports massage. The focus is on helping you settle, relax and reconnect with your body, rather than using strong pressure.

Others may feel quieter, deeper, or more emotionally meaningful. I do not impose an energetic interpretation or decide what your experience should mean.You are welcome to share your preferences or intentions before we begin, and the massage will be adapted accordingly.

How can massage support the nervous system?

When life is busy or stressful, the body can remain slightly braced even when we try to rest. Slow, predictable, and respectful touch may help it recognise that it can soften.Breathing often becomes easier, muscles may release some of their guarding, and mental activity may begin to quiet down. This is why trust, choice, and clear communication are such important parts of my work.Massage can support relaxation and body awareness, but it is not medical or psychological treatment, and everyone responds differently.

Can massage feel emotional?

Sometimes it can. When the body begins to soften and there is finally nothing to manage for a while, feelings may become more noticeable.You might feel peaceful, relieved, moved, tearful, restless, or simply deeply tired. You may also experience nothing emotional at all. Every response is welcome.You never have to explain what you are feeling, and I will not analyse or interpret it for you. There is simply space for you to be as you are.
